Meet Your Instructors

Drs. David and Beverly Sedlacek

Professor and therapist, David Sedlacek is passionate about people and empowering them to reach their full potential. He works with marriages and families, helping clients to overcome emotional barriers to their healing. Working from a Christian worldview, he facilitates a process of connecting people with an experience of God as sufficient to meet all of their needs.  David currently serves as Coordinator of Adventist Recovery Ministries for the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists.

Beverly Sedlacek has long been passionate about facilitating the emotional healing of others. She, herself is refreshingly candid about her own personal emotional healing. She became a teenage mother at the age of 14, and went on to complete her high school and college education. When she became a Christian and saw Christ’s vision for her life, she began confronting her painful childhood.

Together, Drs. David and Beverly Sedlacek both began Into HIS Rest Ministries. Established in 1990, the ministry seeks to assist others to experience a meaningful healing relationship with Jesus. The materials and books they have produced use biblical principles in a fresh contemporary way, to lead others to a closer relationship with Jesus Christ, the Ultimate Healer.

About
Recovery Ministries

Learn more about the resources, tools, and networking offered through the Adventist Recovery Ministries (ARMin).

I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

John 10:10

The ministry of Jesus Christ, while on earth, was to show us the path of restoration.  He continues this ministry in the courts of heaven, and He empowers us to do the same on earth today.

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Psalm 16:11

God’s desire for us is that we would experience true and lasting peace and joy.  Adventist Recovery Ministries (ARMin) provides training, resources, and networking for those who seek to support others in their journey of restoration.
