The Weekend at a Glance
Schedule Overview
Note: You must attend ALL sessions and complete a post-training evaluation in order to receive the certificate of training. This is an interactive class, so please come prepared to be part of the conversation.
Learning Objectives
- To recognize the role of the church in supporting the recovery process for individuals and communities
- To gain skills in conducting a successful 12-step, Journey to Wholeness, recovery program
- To plan for the start of a Journey to Wholeness group (Journey Group) in a local church or community
Journey Group Facilitators are required to complete a FREE online training — Every Step Counts. This self-study course will give you a deeper understanding of addictions, what leads to addictive behaviors, the keys to recovery, and the Biblical foundations of the 12 steps to recovery. We highly recommend completing at least the first 2 modules prior to the in-person training.
