The Auburn Seventh-day Adventist Church is partnering with the City of Auburn and has set aside Sunday, September 16, 2018 as Let’s Move! Day Auburn, GA. Our goal is to offer a FREE community event where we can get as many people as possible involved in physical activity on that day. We are creating community awareness on how to prevent diseases. We are inviting our community to join us and move together to promote a healthier lifestyle. At Auburn Seventh-day Adventist Church, we love God, our families, our community, and we combine them into everything we do!
Event day typically includes: Blood Pressure Screening, Music, Food, Giveaways, Volleyball, Hula Hoop, Walking/ Jogging Trail, Jump Rope, Tug of War, Family Fitness, an Obstacle Course, Children’s Activities, and more!

We have been addressing mental health in our conference raising awareness for our pastors, teachers, and departmental staff. There are several months/dates allocated to raise awareness and our disability ministry church leaders and health ministry leaders are doing that. We promote awareness at camp meeting and at youth federations. We also have the first Sabbath in May as Mental Health Awareness Sabbath. Last year we conducted our first Mental Health Conference at our campground in Orangeburg, SC – I Am Mental Health: Do You See Me? This year awareness is being raised in the local area churches.
