Every Step Counts
A Primer to the 12-Steps to Recovery
This FREE, online self-study course is hosted by the Adventist Learning Community. Learn the Biblical foundation of the 12 steps to recovery, the science of the mind and how it is affected by addiction, and how churches can be a safe place for healing.
Note: This course a pre-requisite to become a Journey to Wholeness Facilitator.

Journey to Wholeness Facilitator
The JTW program assists individuals break free from addictive thoughts, behaviors, and habits, including harmful substance abuse. Anyone who wishes to help someone in the recovery process should attend the training.
Note: We highly recommend completing the online Every Step Counts course (see above) prior to taking the Facilitator training.
Journey to Wholeness Sponsor
A recovery sponsor serves as a one-on-one accountability partner for someone going through the process of addiction recovery. This free course available on Adventist Learning Community provides you with skills to informally walk beside someone on their journey to wholeness.
Note: We highly recommend completing the online Every Step Counts course (see above) prior to taking the Facilitator training.

Seasons of Grief Facilitator
Facilitator Training will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and compassion to offer a Seasons of Grief support group program at your local church or community center.
Soul Shop for Leaders
Learn how to effectively integrate suicide prevention and awareness within ministry, reduce stigma and support ministry teams who may experience suicidal desperation or distress at any given time.

Soul Shop for Black Churches
This training is designed to prepare leaders to make effective and motivating presentations of Soul Shop™ for Black Churches. Soul Shop™ is a movement that equips faith communities to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide. This course is tailored specifically for black congregations, as it looks at added suffering like Histories of Abuse, Historic Trauma, Racism, Toxic Environment and Systems, Lack of Resources, Discrimination and Mass Incarceration.

Suicide Awareness
Prevention, Intervention & Postvention Ministry Approaches
This course can help ministries to be better equipped to recognize warning signs, respond compassionately, and provide life-saving support within their ministry and diverse communities. The training also empowers them to reduce stigma, promote hope, and walk alongside individuals and families navigating mental health crises or grief after a suicide.

Trauma Aware Ministry
Participants will understand what trauma is, how it can affect our minds and bodies, and impact relationships. The training then moves into learning research informed, Biblically founded ways to begin healing and increasing post traumatic growth.
