Learning Objectives:
- Describe the steps to develop a comprehensive plan designed for a one-day in-person event aimed at engaging, supporting, and encouraging local caregivers.
- Identify at least two micro-interventions to mitigate compassion fatigue and maintain professional boundaries within high-touch faith settings.
- Formulate one immediate next step to initiate a community partnership and establish a personal wellness boundary within three days of the presentation.
- Describe the Calm the Fire framework and its role in restoring physiological rhythm through small, sustainable daily practices.
- Demonstrate the use of the R³ Living Rhythm System (Recognize, Restore, Repeat) as a simple, teachable tool for supporting caregivers.
- Apply rhythm-based language and awareness prompts when educating or supporting caregivers in clinical or community settings.

These webinars are jointly provided by the Adventist Association of Faith Community Nursing (Seventh-day Adventist Church, North American Division) and Adventist HealthCare: Adventist HealthCare is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
This activity has been awarded Contact Hours. Successful completion requires attendance to the entire program, active participation, and completion of the final evaluation. This activity is jointly provided by Adventist HealthCare and North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. There are no disclosures to be made for this continuing education activity. Presenters:

Dr. Nicole O. Crawford is a licensed therapist and visionary with over 15 years of experience delivering strengths-based, client-centric care. Specializing in the intersection of aging, behavioral health, and preparedness, she empowers adults, seniors, and those living with dementia to achieve meaningful wellness.
As a former professional caregiver and current care partner, Dr. Crawford is a dedicated advocate for caregiver wellness. Her clinical expertise spans depression, anxiety, and memory disorders, as well as intimacy and family dynamics. Beyond her private practice, she is an experienced researcher, leadership consultant, and dynamic speaker on topics ranging from emergency preparedness to mental health advocacy.

Dawn Patrick Wout, MA, CHC, is a behavioral health leader and educator with over 20+ years of executive experience in psychiatric and adolescent behavioral health settings.
For nine years, she served as Director of Psychiatric Programs overseeing residential, outpatient, and rehabilitation services for individuals living with serious mental illness. She later served as Chief Operating Officer of a multi-site adolescent behavioral health program, partnering with clinical teams to implement trauma-informed and culturally responsive care models.
With formal training in Counseling Psychology, Dawn now focuses on caregiver resilience, stress regulation, burnout prevention, and lifestyle-based health education. Her programs are educational in nature and designed to complement clinical care.
She is the author of “Live from the Inside Out” and creator of “Journey to Wellness – A Restorative Lifestyle Wellness Course.” Dawn is Co-Founder of BodyWell Holistic, Maryland, where she facilitates experiential education centered on regulation and sustainable caregiving practices.
